The game takes place in the near future: the demons burst into the world through places that were once dark temples. In the role of the hunter of demons you have to clean up the place breakouts and prevent the apocalypse. Ys I & II Chronicles on the PSP is a 20-year-old game design with a 10-year-old coat of paint on it, finished off with the gloss of an all-new soundtrack. Only consider it if you know you're in the mood for an intentionally obtuse, old-school journey that'll have you searching for an online guide in the first five minutes – or if you just really want to see a man defeat his foes by slamming straight into them with his face. That long history of remaking and re-remaking these same adventures has given us some great editions of them over the years, but unfortunately it's bad news for this latest reissue on the PSP.
Ys I & II Chronicles has a killer new soundtrack and some fairly new art, but underneath the pretty paintjob is still just feels old.

Gods Eater Burst is similar to the Monster Hunter series that infected Japan like a PSP-powered plague. It's a real-time role-playing game which tasks you with killing a bunch of creatures and collecting raw materials to craft new equipment and upgrade the old. With this new equipment, you're better prepared to face even nastier monsters and collect even better raw materials. And so the cycle continues. It's great fun at first, but it gets dangerously repetitive. Even though killing gods is a thrilling task, and I'm a sucker for anything that takes place after the apocalypse, I started to get fed up with the experience towards the end.

Not to say there isn't a lot to appreciate here; it's just a shame there wasn't more variety to keep the god-slaying at its best.

Through around 200 levels, you'll use the analog nub to pull back on your slingshot and hurl the 2D birds across the screen. This is my preferred way to play. The nub offered me tiny variances in control that I don't feel like I get with my fat finger on a screen, and it also means that I can see the whole screen as the action goes down and not have a digit in the way. Seeing the screen is important in Angry Birds. As the bundles of feathers go flying, they track their arc through the air. This is useful when planning your next shot and trying to take out that next wooden support.
When I first started, I only had red birds to launch through the air. These guys just fly over and knock down stuff. Eventually, you unlock different birds with special skills. Tap X while the blue bird is in flight and it splits into three -- each with its own trajectory. Tap X while the yellow bird is in motion and the little guy shoots out like a torpedo to smash through the structure.

The different "pillars of gameplay", as requested by the developers are "Combat," "Stealth", "Hacking" and "social". Players can switch between these types of play whenever they please, and some pillars may flow to others. For example, a court may not sound an alarm and start a fight, and social skills can lead the player to access certain areas more easily than otherwise possible. In the series, increases are technological changes to the body that allows the user superhuman abilities. While increases in the first two games were nanotechnology, Human Revolution is before the increases and instead of mechanical properties.

These increases address each of the four types of game. While the player's character is very capable of bringing death to their enemies, the player is never forced to perform acts of lethal violence, except during boss fights. Increases, while improving player performance on each of the types of games, it also allows players to create their own methods of play if they see fit.

For the third adventure of tough paranormal cop Aya Brea, Square cheaped out and didn't bother to re-up the license to use the Parasite Eve name. But make no mistake, this is a Parasite Eve sequel -- even if the game mechanics are totally different from anything that's come before. The 3rd Birthday is more a third-person shooter than an RPG, giving players control of a virtual squad of soldiers and civilians whom Aya can direct using her highly evolved brain (and a handy virtual reality device). It's gorgeous, reputedly challenging, and a little bit naughty; Aya's health is reflected in the state of her clothing, which grows more revealing as she takes damage.

This remake of Super Famicom classic Tactics Ogre may not look like much of an improvement at first glance, since it's using the same graphics as the 16-bit version of the game. But then you start noticing the added visual effects, and the beautifully redesigned interface, and the upgraded music, and the added classes, characters, and story events... and then you realize you can rewind both battles and the branching storyline, and suddenly everything clicks. Not only is this one of the best tactical RPGs ever made, it's a greatly improved version designed to be played at your own pace and explored inside and out.

And did we mention the gorgeous new localization that brings to mind Vagrant Story? A must-have for RPG fans.

For some reason, there were actually two games called Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. And, for some reason, only the latter of the two was ever localized into English. Happily, Atlus is giving Innocent Sin a full-on PSP remake in the style of the original Persona, with improved graphics, a revised interface, and new music. It hasn't been announced for a U.S. release yet, but Atlus has been pretty vigorous about localizing every Persona game to come down the pipeline these past few years -- and fans have been making it worth their while.

We're going to be optimistic here and hold out hope for justice! And love! And Sin!

Trails in the Sky has a reputation among importers for being a huge, well-told tale full of meaty combat and great characters. At the very least, it should wash away the bitter memories of Namco's horrible mishandling of the first three Legend of Heroes games a few years back.

So far, it's the one that has something resembling gameplay (think Crisis Core meets Monster Hunter), and more importantly its key staff (including Crisis Core/The 3rd Birthday's Hajime Tabata) has a demonstrable record of sealing the deal on their PSP blockbusters. Of course, all bets are off if Square decides to move the game to PSP.

This is no mere port, however, as they're giving the game a bit of a face lift from its 16-bit roots, as well as packaging it along with the stand-alone sequel, titled "The After Years" (previously only available in Japan and on WiiWare), and some new content bridging the gap between IV and the sequel.

The same night, a group of criminals kill Travis's best friend, Bishop, and throw his head through Travis's window in a paper bag. Travis seeking revenge, asks Sylvia to set up the next fight. Sylvia tells him that the one who ordered the killing was Jasper Batt, Jr., the CEO of Pizza Bat and first-ranked assassin. In the first game, Travis stopped three different attempts by Pizza Bat (called Pizza Butt back then) to expand into Santa Destroy by assassinating the CEOs. In the three years since, with Travis out of the picture, Pizza Bat successfully opened a headquarters in Santa Destroy and bought out practically every business in town. Travis resolves to climb to the ranks to get a chance for revenge on Jasper.

Travis fights and defeats rap star Nathan Copeland. He then meets football star Charlie MacDonald and his cheerleaders, who transform into a giant Mech called the Santa Death Parade. Travis defeats them in his own mech, the Glastonbury, built by Dr. Naomi and based on a mech from his favorite anime. He feels remorse for the cheerleaders, explaining that they were harmless, but backpedals after Sylvia offers to nullify his victory. He also spares the optional challenger (the only way to fight her is by going back to the motel after beating Charlie) Kimmy Howell, commenting that he "can't kill a co-ed". He also begins to fight the supernatural, facing Matt Helms and Cloe Walsh.

An agent of Earth-5, Isa Jo, is sent to find and kill the Outer Space infiltrator, only to find that the girl has become infatuated with humans due to amnesia, aside from knowing that part of her name was "Chi." Naming her "Kachi," Isa decides to protect her and help her live, something which goes against the creators' wishes. As a result, the creators send out a group known as the Nebulox (G5, or the "Group of Five Countries" in the Japanese version), led by Isa's former ally Deko, to kill Kachi and Isa for his betrayal. Adding to this are the beings known as the "Keepers," lifeforms which have worked to destroy any supposed contaminants to Earth-4, which have attacked humans and invaders. Isa, having denounced the creators for their cruelty, goes on the run with Kachi to escape the Nebulox, board an Air Ship, and stop them once and for all.

Throughout the game, Isa and Kachi's attempts to escape are thwarted by the Nebulox until they eventually decide to face them head on. Eventually, Isa changes into a ruffian form, similar to Saki in the original Sin and Punishment, but he merges with Kachi in order to control his new power. Shortly thereafter, they meet up with the Nebulox in space, defeating them for good. In the aftermath, Isa decides that he will stay with Kachi even though they will be hunted again by The Creators. The final scene ends with Kachi's memory returning and her revealing to Isa that her real name is Achi, implying that she is actually the antagonist-turned-protagonist from the original Sin and Punishment.

Despite this, the producer of the game insists that Fragile Dreams is not a survival horror, rather it will focus on "human drama".

The world of Fragile Dreams will be filled with objects, sketches and short stories for the player to examine. Each artifact holds the memories of its former owner, and offers back story and hints to the player. A competition was held where readers of gaming magazines sent in their own sketches and short stories for inclusion in the game.

The player will find himself in the setting of the post-apocalyptic era where the world’s weather is very extreme; sudden changes in the environment is very common and night and day shifts are very fast. Survival means to get lots of what is now the currency of the survivors, which is Fuel. The world of the game is a woppling 5,560 square miles and players get to roam this world if they play on the free roaming world and as you roam the world, you will unravel new challenges from inhabitants of the area. The player will be racing against opponents to gain more fuel. These are basically acquired throughout the game in three ways. The most common is winning races. Every time you win a race, you get fuel as price. You can also earn fuel by winning challenges issued to you. And lastly, hitting fuel the white fuel barrels scattered all over the racing track as you race against your opponents. Some of the barrels are alone while some are stacked up and has bigger fuel points when you hit them. Most of the barrels are not easy to hit because most are on top of roofs or structures that you have to use ramps to reach them.

This FPS game takes warfare a notch with its state of the art graphics that gives the environment and lighting to a whole new level. The game takes you to China wherein you will be fighting against the People’s Liberation Army, using their primitive weaponry yet those RPGs are still very effective. You’ll find yourself in an overwhelming situation. The terrain creates a challenging tempo where you have to look for advantages; the sun blinds your view while bullets just come flying out of nowhere.
The feeling of a marine in a war gets into you as you only have limited bullets with you so every shot should count; HUD has limited data so you have to stay sharp and listen to commands because a mortar from your group might end up hitting you. This aspect of the game was brought up because friendly fire was a big issue in the wars of Afghanistan and it is really hard to tell if it is friendly fire in the heap of the battle, so make sure you don’t guide your squad inside a building which is a target for missile attacks. The ability to concentrate on details by marines gets a hold of you as every mission takes time to finish and there are no checkpoints in this game. A failed mission is a failed mission and you have to start from the beginning. The emotion of the game is very successful in bringing up what a true marine feels in an actual battle. This is what made this game unique and successful as many gamers crawl their way up the challenging missions of this game.
